TINY RIBBY TANK A summer tank top for toddlers ~ Sized for approx. size 2; Add ribs / rows to make a larger size.

Materials:
2 50g balls cotton or cotton/acrylic blend ~ one main color, one contrast color, or both the same
( I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream, which is 70g, but had plenty left over)
US 7 needles, 16" circular
stitch holders

Gauge: 4.5-5 st/in

Cast on 96 stitches. Join and work in k4 p2 rib for six inches.
(Stripe at will. I started after about 3" and did a 3CC-2MC-5CC-2MC-3CC sequence.)

When piece reaches six inches (or desired length to arm openings), work 48 st in pattern and divide, placing half the stitches on a holder. Front and back are worked the same.

Work wrong-side row in rib, coming back across the stitches just knit.
Dec 3 st at beg of next 2 rows.
Work 2 rows in pattern.
Dec 1 st at each end on next (RS) row.
Work 7 rows in pattern.
(RS) *p2 tog k4* across, p 2 tog, k 2 tog.
(WS) p2 tog, p to last 2 st, p 2 tog.
k 3, k2 tog; place these 4 st on holder.
Bind off 20 stitches ~ 6 st remain; ssk, k3, k2 tog.
Work these 4 st in st st for 30 rows, place on holder.

Repeat instructions for second side.
Graft strap to top of tank on each side using kitchener stitch.
Weave in ends. Press straps flat, or let 'em curl!
